Planning a trip to NYC with Room77 #CleverRoom77 #spon

September 15, 2012      Leave a Comment

Last year right around this time we were setting off for a trip to Washington DC and New York City.  We had an awesome time on our little road trip.

I may have made Ryan drive most of the way so I could put my feet  up and take ridiculous pictures:
We had a few somber moments visiting Shanksville PA, the Pentagon and Ground Zero:
And I realized later, most of the pictures I took included a gnome.  I cannot be helped:
I can’t wait to go back, especially to New York. It’s such an awesome place to visit.  The one downside?  Finding the right hotel.  When we went, we opted to use the name your price feature on Priceline.  It worked out okay, but if you’ve ever used it before, it’s kind of a gamble.  You get to pick a price range, star level and general area, but everything else is a mystery.  I’d much prefer to get a deal and be able to pick all the features I want in a hotel.
So when I hopped onto Room 77 to give it a test drive, I knew I wanted to see what options they had for me in New York City.  Specifically, I wanted to know who are the hotels with free wi-fi!  The hotel we stayed at did not, and we missed it.
Just a few of the results I found with free wi-fi:
After spending some time on Room77 and checking out the features, I have to give it two gigantic thumbs up.  Here are just a few of the things I loved:
  • The site is blissfully uncluttered.  I was able to search for what I wanted without distractions or pop-ups.
  • The search function is fast.  As you pick each option, it automatically adjusts your results.  I especially liked that, because I knew right away if I was being too specific or not.
  • The search options.  They give you the option right away to filter your results to find hotels with features free wi-fi, free breakfast, or free hotel parking .  It was nice to not have to go searching for those.
  • They tell you who has the best deal.  If another site has a better deal on a hotel, they let you know.  I love that it helps relieve the headache of searching tons of sites for the best deal.
If you have a trip to plan or just like to dream and plan future trips in your mind (nothing wrong with dreamin’!), checkout Room77.
Never wonder whether you’ve gotten the best deal on your hotel room again. Check out Room 77 when planning your next travel adventure!

Hey, I'm Trish (and that handsome dude next to me pretending he doesn't want his picture taken is Wyatt). Welcome to my blog!
