I learned the difference between a flauta and a taquito. I also got a library card. My life is so interesting.
The big blog transfer happened! I’m still trying to figure a lot of things out on the back end, but I’m getting there. And I miss my old blog design. Bad. I’ll get over it. The wine section at Trader Joe’s always knows how to get me through these tough times. Also, if you’re in the market for a blog transfer, I cannot recommend Blogelina highly enough. And even if you don’t need a transfer, there’s a wealth of blogging information there. Check it out.
So, we have a shih tzu. He’s a furry little devil. Back in Indiana we had a groomer just down the street from us that we’d send him off to once a month or so looking like the business end of a mop, and he’d come back looking like a million bucks. Or maybe half a million. He does only have the one eye. Well, we don’t have a groomer here and I thought I’d attempt to do it myself. So I toddle on down to the basement, open up the box of grooming supplies that’s been sitting unused for 3 months (this should give you an indication of how often we brush the dog) and I found my box of replacement contacts. The ones I tore this house apart looking for when we first moved in. This is why you don’t try to pack when you’re 9 months pregnant. And the dog still looks ridiculous, by the way.
I decided that I hadn’t tortured myself or the dog quite enough the previous day and attempted to groom him again. He still looks ridiculous and all I got out of it is a Target bag full of fur and a dog who hides whenever he sees me coming.
I discovered it was a free HBO weekend. So I searched through 3 days worth of movies and set the DVR to record all the good ones. And most of the mediocre ones. I told you my life was interesting.
We got up early and went to breakfast with a friend and her son who were in town from New Mexico. I don’t remember what my meal was called, but it should have been “I hope you wore your stretchy pants.” Does anyone really need a gigantic chocolate muffin after they’ve hoovered an entire plate of eggs, ham and potatoes? I’m not sure, but for scientific purposes I ate it to try to find out.
Hope you all had a great week and a very happy Easter!
