Week in Review 2014 {#4}

Week in Review button

What the heck guys? It’s Wednesday already. And my weekly review is late. Oops. Let me delay the fun no longer.

Stuff I wrote

  • Blogger Q&A – I tried combating some wicked blogger’s block by letting my ego fly and just answering questions about myself. It seemed to work.
  • The Curse of Self Doubt – I got a little serious and confessed some of my struggles with self-doubt. And you guys were so sweet to me about it. I’ve got some awesome buddies.

Stuff I watched

  • Parental Guidance – It was a little slapstick, which isn’t exactly my thing, but it wasn’t bad.
  • Saving Private Ryan – Can you believe I’d never watched it before? It was incredibly well-made, but **SPOILER ALERT*** pretty much everyone dies. Bodies everywhere. I had to go hide in my room with a bag of candy and my feelings for a while afterward.

Stuff I did

  • Ryan bought me the Insanity workout (don’t worry, I wanted it, so he’s not in trouble for insinuating I’m grotesquely out of shape) so I was obligated to start doing that whole thing. You guys. I started the first DVD and I was all “Okay, maybe I can keep up with this!” and then the dude screaming at me from the TV was all like “Okay, good warm up!” That was just the warm up. So I’ve spent an hour every day for the past week in the basement, listening to a symphony of my own sobbing and fat flapping around. I will totally be the most fit person in the institution.
  • It warmed up enough to go outside without dying, so we let the child have some fun in the snow. He mostly sat in it and looked at us like we were idiots. Typical. We did get a few smiles out of him though. He knows he has a daily quota to fill. Baby in the snow
  • After finishing up with the sob/fat flapping fest in the basement on Saturday I came upstairs to excitedly proclaim we’d be going to buy some new shoes. If I was going to be spending that much time jumping my mass around down there, I was going to do it in better shoes, by golly! Three stores later and I still didn’t find any shoes. I did manage to come home with a giant container of Chinese food though. I found it to be an acceptable runner up.

So, how was your week?

Hahahahaha… “He knows he has a daily quota to fill.” Clay understands his pain. Camera in the face. Alllll the time 🙂

I tried insanity for a week. Err…I thought it was going to kill me, and I used words shouting back at him that would offend even a sailor. I too, would be in tears by 3 minutes into the warm up. I did not complete insanity’s dumb 90days because I fully believe I would have been committed by the end. Good luck, when you make it through to the end I will still be your biggest fan!

Ugh I haven’t tried insanity but I hear it is rough but in the end amazing. I have another video set that I really want to start using but I need new shoes too but 1) I really don’t want to spend money on them & 2) I don’t know what I need/want so it will be a royal pain to find some I’m sure.
Your little man is so cute! So we got some more snow here in good ol’ central VA and it was a decent temperature yesterday (high 20s instead of the 0* when I got up today) and did I take my children out in it? Nope… I don’t do snow… it is pretty yes but messy & it wasn’t good snowman or snowball snow so what would be the point. I got some craptastic pictures in it last week so that will have to do for now… And it looks like I might have another chance next week…blah

Looks like your little one had a great time outdoors! It’s been freezing up where I am as well, and my guys been sick so haven’t been able to venture out to enjoy the snow days. My week has mostly consisted of snuggling and caring for the baby…hopefully will be a better next! Visiting from SITS.

I hate it when I’m sweating profusely by the time the warmup is over. I was “warm” after we were 30 seconds in- get to the POINT, already!

I clearly suck at workout videos.

Cutest snow suit ever! I’ve also never seen Saving Private Ryan. I’d rather laugh than cry any day – no interest in watching a movie in which EVERYBODY dies.

Although there are ratings for several actresses in Hollywood,
the opinion largely differs from individual to individual about the craze.
This is achieved by earning gold from killing minions and
enemy champions to acquire better items. Victoria, who left
some of her costume’s crafting to her boyfriend, wasn’t pleased
    with the overall design start.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey, I'm Trish (and that handsome dude next to me pretending he doesn't want his picture taken is Wyatt). Welcome to my blog! I'm a single, homeschool mom living the introvert life in Southern Michigan. If you're into Chinese food, Netflix, stretchy pants, and leaving the house the least amount possible, we can probably be friends.
