Why I love Chick-fil-A

January 9, 2014 by Tricia Adams 14 Comments

Remember my one New Year’s Resolution?  Well we kicked off our year of weekly mother/son dates with a Saturday trip to Chick-Fil-A.

I tried to get some pictures of him eating waffle fries, but he wasn’t having any of it.

This one of him smiling sweetly at you will have to do.

Now, as soon as I walked into the Chick-fil-A, baby and diaper bag in tow, I knew I’d made a small error in judgement. First, it was busy. Because Chick-fil-A is always busy on Saturday. Plus it’s a new location. Double whammy.  And I had no reinforcements. How was I going to to carry a baby and a bag and food and drinks and get a highchair and OMG, let’s just run out of here and hope no one notices the panic in my eyes.

But we didn’t run out and we had the best time. As busy as they were, several employees helped me in big ways. All I had to do was find a table. They brought me a high chair and our drinks and then our food when it was ready. I didn’t even have to get up to ask for a refill. Someone came to the table and got one for me.  And just like always, when I thanked them for being so courteous, they responded with “my pleasure.”

I don’t know where Chick-fil-A finds their employees, but they’re doing something right.

All I had to worry about was spending some time with my boy, which was such a relief.

You guys, if I thought I loved Chick-fil-A before Saturday, it’s nothing compared to how I feel about it now.

I love Chick-fil-A

Plus, those waffle fries. What is in those things? Do they fry them in heroin? I need some answers.

Chick-fil-a is great! I’ve been with three little kids before and it was easier than feeding them at home!

OMG, my family LOVES Chick-fil-A!! They just opened one near us and we have taken full advantage of the amazing hospitality they provide. It’s too easy not to eat there. 😉

Amen sister! They are that way at our local one too!

They have an older lady (she turned 90 I believe) that works there (she refills drinks, and asks if you need anything – sweetest lady!) and on her birthday she wasn’t scheduled to work but they had a big party, with balloons, a throne (only slightly exaggerating), and everyone wished her a happy birthday, gifts, cards galore, big cake every and more, it was the sweetest thing… and all a surprise to her. Chick Fil A is definitely doing something right!

That’s so sweet and helpful for a mommy! We have a Chick-fil-a that just opened, and the people who work are very nice. My kids like the play area!

Chick fil a is the bomb. Except I’m pretty sure they slip a little crack into the fryer b/c the chicken and fries really are addictive. I’ve always been pleased with their service even when they are super busy – which is always! I also love that they have stood by their values and refuse to open on Sundays. And your little man looks quite pleased 🙂

I went to Chick-Fil-A for the first time last spring while I was in North Carolina. We don’t have them in Oregon or Washington, but it was really good! I just love your resolution…and what a cutie you have there! Such a handsome little guy!

I agree with you… The Chick-fil-A(s) are ALWAYS busy here, but it is never a hassle for us, because their employees are always sooo helpful. They’re like, “here let me get you a refill.” and “oh, your child dropped his milk, let me get you another one and clean that up for you.” No eye-rolling judgements or anything… 🙂

I have never tried Chick-fil-A and after their little anti-gay snafu last year I questioned whether I ever would. Course, that’s mixing food and politics and neither has a place with the other so why let someone’s opinion affect where I choose to eat? Besides, opinions are like buttholes: We all have one. LOL

Glad to read you had such a pleasant time with your son thanks to some amazing employees. I wish more places were like that whether it’s a restaurant or grocery store.
