A glimpse of May

June 4, 2014      8 Comments

I’m not even going to get into how it’s already June. Nope. I’m going to live in denial about how fast the year is going. At least until Christmas.

So here’s a glimpse of May.

I took a lot of pictures of the back of my kid’s head. It’s a good thing he’s got such cute curls.

Curly toddler hair

I managed to get some of the front of his face too. It only took 100,000 pictures to get a few good ones.

I also realized we might need to address screen addiction. Maybe. I don’t know. If he starts letting me go to the bathroom by myself I might just let him stare at any screen he wants.

I admired the only colorful thing in our yard while I thought really hard about going out for flowers to plant. Spoiler: I went for ice cream instead.

Purple flower

I got new pajamas on clearance. Or as I like to call them, clothes I don’t mind getting soggy cracker rubbed into.

A glimpse of May

My parents came for a visit, which made both of these guys pretty happy.

Grandpa and grandson

And Wyatt got his first taste of s’mores.

S'mores face

And played with bubbles.

We got a new lawn boy. I think we overpaid him though. He got done and the yard didn’t look any different.

Toddler mower

And because I can’t seem to get through a month without a gnome photo shoot:

So, how was your May?

Love love LOVE all your photos!! I think my favorite is Wyatt looking up at you while on the couch with the screen. 🙂 (Whatever it takes to go potty without an audience!) Runner up is your gnome picture. Love the angle you chose!

You should really do a Project 365… just sayin. 😉

Oh wow. Those are beautiful photos! I love the gnome and the one where he was playing with bubbles! And the black and white ones. And the lawn boy. Actually I love all of them! i wish I was as talented as you in photography! Knowing how kids can be when we take their photos, I’d say you are very good at capturing beautiful moments. Most of the photos I took of my kids are either blurred or dark. Sigh.
Thanks for sharing this at the Whatever Wednesday Linkup! I really enjoyed looking at your photos. 🙂

I am definitely going to have to get my grandsons a lawn mower. Maybe I’ll have to get two! My mom still talks about when she came to visit us in Chicago from her home in Florida when my (now 32 y/o) son was about two. She brought him a lawnmower which she put in the overhead bin on the plane. I’m sure TSA would never allow that now!

What great pictures of your son, but the gnome picture is pretty sweet too. What kind of camera and settings do you usually use?
