Week in Photos {August 25-31}

August 31, 2014      10 Comments

You guys. It was one of those weeks. The ones where you pretty much can’t do anything right. You ruin dinners. Forget appointments. Find a month old diaper soaking into a wood floor. Cut the dog’s tail off (okay, it was only part of the tail).

But it wasn’t all bad. The dog lived, and as far as I can tell he doesn’t hate me for mutilating him. My parents are visiting. We got a deep fryer (because, mozzarella sticks) and used it without burning the house down.

And here are a few haphazard photos from this week.

August 25

I never know what I’m going to face when I go get Wyatt up in the morning. I think he may have had a rough night.

August 26

I thought maybe if I made the toddler breakfast look appetizing it might entice him to eat more of it. Spoiler: He still threw it all on the floor.

August 27

I was mad with excitement when nap time finally rolled around. I barely even remember taking this picture. Or why I thought it was a good idea. But it’s the only one I took all day, so I’m going with it.

August 28

Do you want to know something? Sometimes I take my camera in the bathroom and hide and mess with the settings and take practice pictures while the kid is running around like a maniac in the living room. I feel like this might not be normal.

August 29

Grandpa and Wyatt having a little jam session. My dad opted to wear clothes though. Didn’t want to be too matchy-matchy.

August 30

Oh Lord. So Wyatt got a new pair of sunglasses and I was determined to get a picture. Obsessed. But every time I got my camera ready he’d rip those suckers off his head so fast and I was left with a dozen pictures of his blurry “get out of my face” face.

But if you just slip those suckers on him right before he passes out, you’re golden.

August Week in Photos

So how was your week? If you didn’t cut your dog’s tail off, I’d say you’ve at least got one up on me.

Tricia, you are so talented! You should start writing books or become a professional photographer or both! And I don’t tell you often enough that I love you so much.

Don’t worry you are totally normal. I take random bathroom pictures too….. Last week was my week from hell as well. You at least took lots of beautiful and amazing pictures while you were going through it to document the good parts. I however finished the week with nothing more than tears, a husband with broken glasses and a broken toe!! I would say you are a head of the curve my dear!!

I LOVE your photos! What a great way to keep track of your week. I take pictures all the time that I forget about and later wonder why I took. Nice to know I’m not alone!

Hope this week goes better for you!

The first one of Wyatt is too precious! He looks so shaken in his disheveled state. The picture of the chocolate I shall name serenity! 😉 I totally understand locking yourself in the bathroom! You made it through, that’s all that matters!

You make me laugh – always! “Didn’t want to be too matchy-matchy.” Oh lordy…
If you do write a book I guarantee that I’m buying!

Welcome!

Hey, I'm Trish (and that handsome dude next to me pretending he doesn't want his picture taken is Wyatt). Welcome to my blog!
