I think I’ve figured out why I barely make it out of January before giving up on my photo projects. It’s because I start them in January. In Indiana. When everything is frigid and dead and ugly and I’m stuck inside with a kid that won’t wear pants or take baths.
This scenario does not scream inspiration. The days are ordinary and blend together and before I know it I’ve forgotten my camera even exists. But I’m trying really hard to combat it and find the interesting inside, because Lord knows I’m not going anywhere when it’s 5 degrees outside.
So there I was, on the floor, trying to make a pile of Lego toys look interesting, when Skippy plopped down in front of me. Ok, buddy. If you insist.
I have to admit, he was more interesting than the toys.
And I must also admit that I forgot to take a picture of Wyatt, so right before bed I ushered him into the bathroom and told him we were taking a picture so he better try to look cute.
Close enough.
